Signs of Alcohol Poisoning
The kids are out of school for their long awaited vacation.
Parents, as well as kids, will have ample time to spend
together without the distractions of school, though the time
can also become difficult and tense. The following is a list of
resolutions that parents can use to help build better relationships
with their kids.
10 Resolutions That Show Your Kids You Care:

1.   Teach your children to trust you by seeing you
    as a role model.

2.   Be patient, not just tolerant.  Apologize when you
make a mistake or do something you regret.

3.   Ask teens what they need from you – and do
whatever you can to meet those needs.

4.   Listen to your teens, a lot.  Avoid interrupting.

Do You Know?
Want to treat a buddy to a beer and he's not here....
This month's newsletter topic begged for action.
How so, you ask?

Well, since the topic is "Buying Alcohol Online"
and is a relatively new phenomenon, the writer felt
compelled to at least give it a try to see how it
went. The premise is finding out if it is as easy for
underage drinkers to purchase alcoholic products
online than going the usual routes. Those being-
finding an age-appropriate person to do it for them
or just rummaging in cupboards at home to see
what is available.

So...I need to get started....
Thursday, June 16-
Googled  "buy alcohol online". Several possibilities pop
up. I take a look at a couple of sites and decide on
one. They stock a lot of different wines........

Learning a life -or- death lesson in Old Forge

May 31, 2011

A mock DWI accident scene was set up by the Town of
Webb School in Old Forge, NY, in an effort to raise
awareness among the students of the consequences of
drinking and driving especially during the upcoming
graduation parties.

Due to the efforts of Brendan McGrath, Prevention
Council Services Coordinator, and Mr. Rex Germer,
Principal, the effort was memorable.  They covered just
about all situations that might arise during such an
accident. From the Fire Department, Law Enforcement,
Coroner and even a medical evacuation helicopter, the
students had a comprehensive experience.
