Updates on "Parents Who Host, Lost The Most"

The Parents Who Host, Lose The Most: Don’t be a party to teenage drinking initiative was
developed in Ohio in 2000.  Since then the campaign has been replicated in all 50 states, as
well as, Canada, Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.  The campaign focuses on educating
parents of the dangers associated with hosting an alcoholic party for their teens.  This will be
Herkimer County’s fourth year of involvement in the campaign.

What is Herkimer County doing for the Parents Who Host, Lose The Most campaign?

Posters are hung up in the local high schools encouraging students to stay alcohol and
drug free during prom time.

stores, and liquor stores.

A table will be set up some time in early June at Wal-Mart.  It will provide information
and give-a-ways.

The Parents Who Host message has been placed in the local school musical playbooks.

A billboard is rented for the month of May and June with the
Parents Who Host, Lose
The Most
